REQUIREMENTS FOR BLINK SMART CAMERA –
- This camera requires WIFI connection for its operation. You can still operate it with low Internet speed but you need a connection to alert you through notifications and sending images in its app called Blink app.
- You need a smartphone . it doesn’t matter if it is an Android or IOS operating system. Make sure the operating system meets a higher level.
- A continuous power supply or electric supply.
STEPS TO SET UP BLINK SMART CAMERA –
- First you need to download the Blink Home Monitor App from either play store or apple store. It is compulsory to download the app in order to receive security notifications and images which it gives as a high level of security.
- Then click on the app and open it and create an account .
- Fill the necessary details it asks for.
- First it asks you to select your country and then you can tap on next.
- On the next page , it asks for your email and say you to create a password.
- Fill in your active email address and create a password.
- After that it will send you a verification code as you tap on Next .
- Check the email from your Gmail and copy the code and paste it in the blank.
- Sometimes due to security of Gmail, the email might be in the spam folder so check that in case you cannot find the mail sent to you.
- After pasting it ,click on VERIFY.
- Then you will be sent to another page where you need to verify your phone number too.
- After typing your number , select the way you want the verification code .
- After you get the code as you opt for , you can type or paste the code and click on VERIFY.
- As BlinkSmart Camera is an Amazon built product , it will ask if you want to connect it with Alexa. It is your choice if you want to connect or not.
- Now you are all done to start using the features.
- After this , remove the protective cover of the camera.
- Then take out the back and put two batteries.
- Then open the app and click on plus sign.
- Then choose the model of camera.
- Scan the QR code and let it update for a few minutes.
- Then finally tap on Done.
- Now you can use your Blink Smart Camera.
NOTE :- Many times the Blink Smart Camera comes with another small device called SYNC MODULE and that needs to set up too .
STEPS TO SET UP SYNC MODULE–
- First you need to open the Blink Home Monitor app an.
- On the top right corner , there is a plus sign . Select the plus sign.
- Next the details asked or simply scan the Qr from the back of the module.
- Then it will ask to name it .
- After naming it , click on Next.
- Plug the socket into the electric wall outlet.
- You will see blue and green lights blinking. In case it does not , troubleshoot the issue as soon as possible or switch off and on the sync module.
- Then , on the app , select Discover Device and then tap join.
- Choose your WIFI network and enter a password.
- Click on the JOIN button.
- It will start updating .
- Then at last click on Done.
- Now you are all set to use.
